Food and wine have always been an important part of Jewish ritual and celebration. These programs will improve your culinary skills and/or introduce you to new “ingestibles” that will add flavor to your cuisine.

    Celebrate Israel’s 70th birthday with an evening of Israeli wine tasting and learning curated and led especially for Congregation Beth Emek by guest Sommelier Sang Lee of Total Wine. Light bites included. Over 21 Only.

  2. THE LAND OF WINE!

    Foodie Events, Receptions, Community Gatherings & Celebrations / 90 mins
    While Israel has often been called “The Land of Milk and Honey,” Carmit Becker will demonstrate how it really should be called “The Land of Wine.” Carmit, whose grandparents started to make wine in pre-State Israel in 1880, will be our tour guide as we journey through Israel by tasting wine from the country’s different regions. Over 21 Only.

  3. CONTRA COSTA MEGA CHALLAH BAKE

    Join hundreds of Jewish women and girls ages 12 and up at the third annual Contra Costa Mega Challah Bake. Learn everything you “Knead” to know to braid delicious challahs for your Shabbat Table. Enjoy refreshments, raffles and socializing.
