Some suggested family friendly activities include apple picking, shopping for clothing (wearing new clothes is a tradition in some communities), sending out New Year’s Cards (electronically or by regular mail), making New Year’s resolutions, going to Tashlich—Casting bread crumbs into a body of water while saying special prayers.
