Under One Tent – Fall 2018

Welcome to the 2018-2019 fall/winter semester of Under One Tent. Since our first event in 2012, this cultural and educational series has reflected the dynamic nature of the Contra Costa and Tri-Valley Jewish communities.

As the convener of this exciting program, the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center is proud to partner with the many synagogues, Jewish schools and organizations serving the region. Working together, we are able to present a very diverse line-up: from a one-man show on Albert Einstein to Belgian craft beer tastings and panels on contemporary issues; from comedy shows and concerts to programs that explore the diversity of the global Jewish community. Our cinematic sessions will take us to 1970 Leningrad; backstage behind the making of The Graduate; a refugee camp in the Sudan, and an impending zombie attack in the Old City of Jerusalem.

So join us. Learn. Laugh. Become engaged. Under One Tent is all about coming together in an inclusive, connected and exciting community!

Under One Tent is a vibrant partnership of Jewish organizations, institutions of learning and congregations serving the Contra Costa and Tri-Valley regions. By promoting the cultural and educational programming of our co-sponsors, we expand the activities available to community members, increase awareness of local Jewish life, and connect individuals in the region. We unite to build an inclusive, welcoming community.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended for many of our programs. By signing up early, you may enjoy lower admission fees or guarantee yourself a place “at the table.” You can find the contact information and addresses for the event sponsors and venues under sponsors and venues.
